The Metropolitan Police confirmed the two officers, both PCs, were on patrol at the weekend when they were attacked. In the first incident, a police officer was grabbed by the neck and kissed on the face without her consent, allegedly. The Met said Florin Matei, from Islington in north London, was arrested and later charged with sexual assault. He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 19.
