He is doing well,” said mom Soha Mohamed. “I told him that accidents happen in our life and it is difficult for us, but we can overcome it because we are strong,” he added. Hamza is scheduled for surgery Wednesday, so the family hopes to find out if he can be fitted with a prosthetic, she said. Doctors have not told the family when Hamza can go home, but an update is expected at the end of the week, he said. His arm was severed from the elbow down, with the severed end found under the R train, a worker told The Post on Monday. The boy was taken to Bellevue Hospital.
